Field trip to Reliance Smart

Field trips have long provided children with authentic learning opportunities and experiences outside of the standard educational environment. Here children explore new things at an individual pace. It is a picnic with a purpose in mind.

We select the places according to the on-going concept. Their experiences create synaptic connections which build cognitive, social and emotional structures that will serve as the foundation for their progress in life.

Pre-Visit

Before the field trip we orient them with the place and purpose and involve them in discussion of background knowledge about the same.

Post-Visit

Students share their observation about the place. We compare pre-visit and post-visit for better understanding.

Little learners of Pre K and K1 strengthen their understanding through revisiting photographs and reflective drawing. Whereas K2 supports their understanding by writing about the visit. Example- K2 visited 'Reliance Smart', did shopping and used bills and wrappers/ packets for number applications and operation.

This kind of practical knowledge will help them in going a long way in their careers. "Clearly learning and enjoyment always make a great combination."
