Academic session 2016-17 was ushered in with an explorative vision, vigor and vitality by Joeys Ambli Campus in the month of June 2016. Our little angels were welcomed with a heart full of warmth & care, painted floors and decorated walls. An exclusively designed entrance was made to mark their first day at school.
The first term session took off positively with novel ideas and meaningful strategies to engage them, using ample child friendly teaching aids and spaces to explore and discover the joy of learning. Our focus this year is to enhance and strengthen their Listening, Speaking, Reading & Writing Skills along with their Problem Solving Skills. Dramatics, Free play and Curiosity Corner have been the highlight of our past few months as we believe that the language in dramatics and Free play is rich, purposeful and authentic. Through role play, children get to explore perspectives and roles of others through opportunities to act out what they experience or observe in their own lives. Moreover it also helped in developing their social/emotional skills.
In our pursuit to keep our parent partners abreast with the classroom practices and teaching/ learning processes, we organized a few ‘Sharing & Growing Sessions’ in the months of July and August. It has definitely equipped our parents with relevant strategies and useful insight to work with their ward at home and thereby contributed towards their holistic development.Events and celebrations have surely added its unique flavour to our journey. Be it the Independence Day or Janmashtami, Mothers' Day or Fathers' Day celebrations - Joeys did it all with élan.
Mothers' Day - We were speechless to witness the enthusiasm, creativity & camaraderie of our talented mothers. The stories and songs presented by them were elevated with their innovative props and active participation. It was indeed an invigorating, delightful and rewarding experience for all.
Fathers' Day - Our Pre-K babies sang songs with heartwarming expressions to make their dads feel special, K1 regaled the audience with their mesmerizing dance performance and K2’s skit, quotes, poems and dances was the cheery on the cake. In turn our jovial & zestful fathers spiced it up with their creative and meaningful group art activities followed by outdoor games. It left the campus reverberating with the echoes of sheer joy and delight.
Professional Development - In our constant endeavour to keep ourselves upgraded and to strengthen team spirit, we invest time and conscious efforts in research, investigation and experimentation. Regular reading sessions, classroom demonstrations and group discussions have been an integral part of our routine. All these together have brought about a perfect synchronization among the three stakeholders- students, teachers and parents.
