In the tapestry of education, school events are the vibrant threads that weave memories, build social skills, creates a sense of community and enrich the journey of knowledge.
We, at Joeys have conducted a few events in justification of the above statement.
The monsoon season has always been synonymous with joy. At our school, we recently celebrated this magical time with the monsoon party that left everyone soaked in happiness. Our school’s activity area was transformed into a vivid oasis. Brightly coloured umbrellas, cascading raindrops decoration, tubs filled with water and display of monsoon special items set the stage for an unforgettable celebration. Our tiny tots of Pre K Celebrated as “Spilsh & Spalsh”, K1 children enjoyed in “Rainbow Party” and K2 participated in “Monsoon Masti”. The classrooms felt aromatic with yummy food like bhajiya, dalwada, samosa etc. as children got them for their tiffin time. Children enjoyed sailing their hand crafted boats by singing melodious bilingual monsoon songs.
At Joeys, we believe that pre reading and pre writing are the skills children need to develop during their fundamental years. These skills contribute to the child's ability for having print as well as phonological awareness. Parents of Pre K were introduced to the world of phonics through a “Pre Reading & Pre Writing Workshop” and were guided through LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing). The session comprised of activities and games which witnessed participation of parents with full enthusiasm.
Our “Jolly Phonic Workshop” for parents of K1 & K2 students was an engaging and empowering event. Parents actively participated in hands on phonic activities gaining insights into supporting to enhance their children’s reading and writing skills at home. This workshop strengthened the school parent partnership emphasizing the importance of jolly phonics in early education, fostering a love for reading and equipping parents with valuable tools for their children’s learning journey.
The kick start of this event began with celebrating the extra ordinary love, strength and selflessness of mothers today and every day. “Mother’s Day” at our school was a heartwarming and lively celebration of the incredible love our young learners receive from their moms. The day sparkled with joy as Joeys children put on an enchanting performance by presenting joyful songs which left all the mothers spellbound. In addition to these heartwarming moments, mothers and children also engaged in fun games, creating cherished memories that celebrated the magical bond between mothers and little ones.
The exuberance of having fathers in the school campus on “ Fathers’ Day” was witnessed in children. They strengthened their bond by doing various activities as a team. They had a song presentation, dance time and relished bread basket. Our ‘Picasso Jodi’(father-child) created some priceless memories through doodle art.
In the heartwarming celebration at our kindergarten, “Grandparents Day” unfolded as a beautiful drapery of love, laughter and cherished moments. Little hands and loving hearts came together to create memories that will be treasured for a life time. The joy on the aces of our tinytots mirrored the timeless bond between generations, making Grandparents’ Day, a truly special and unforgettable occasion.
